What is Mental Toughness?
It is our capacity to cope with stressors and pressure and also the capacity to perform to the best of our ability...
It is not about being macho, aggressive or masculine. Nor is it about winning or being better than everyone else.
It is about developing self-awareness and being the best that you can be.
Our fight-flight system is there to protect us from danger and if this self-protective mechanism takes over, our performance can be reduced. Everybody gets nervous, but the difference between someone with high levels of mental toughness and those who are more mentally sensitive, is how they interpret those feelings.
